DR. TOM WALTERS, DPT

Tom Walters grew up in Montana where he enjoyed camping, fishing and most outdoor activities.  Tom stayed in Montana during his undergraduate years attending Montana State University-Bozeman where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. He then traveled to Orange County, California to attend Chapman University where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  While at Chapman, Tom married fellow classmate and Santa Barbara native, Kirsten Ryan, who has also joined the Hayashida and Associates team.  Tom's educational goals include receiving his clinical specialist certification in orthopedics, working towards his fellowship in manual therapy and completing a dietetic internship in order to combine the principles of nutrition and physical therapy to better serve all patients. Tom has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2005.

After trying to talk Kirsten into moving to Montana and failing miserably, Tom feels grateful to be able to call Santa Barbara home and is proud to be a member of the Hayashida and Associates team.  Tom's interests include spending time with family and friends, Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, riding motorcycles and any activity that involves being outdoors.
