DR. MAURY HAYASHIDA, DPT, OCS, CSCS
E-mail: maury@hayashidaPT.com

Maury founded Hayashida & Associates Physical Therapy in order to provide the community with current, evidence-based clinical excellence in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Growing up in Africa, Maury's passion for the field of physical therapy began with working alongside missionary orthopedic surgeons serving children with polio. Maury graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. He also completed 1500 hours in Athletic Training. Maury attended Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona where he received his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy.

In addition to his practice in Santa Barbara, Maury serves as the Rehabilitation Coordinator for USA Rugby and periodically consults internationally for professional rugby teams in high performance development and injury management. Maury serves on the Board of Advisors for Adelman Enterprises and on the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara branch of the Arthritis Foundation.  He also teaches as an adjunct professor in Biomechanics, Motor Behavior and Research at Westmont College in the Kinesiology Department.

"My professional goal is to grow in my understanding of normal and abnormal human movement every day and to deliver a service through my practice of physical therapy that promotes my profession and the movement health of my community."
