Anthem Blue Cross Benefits have Changed

1/29/10

Anthem Blue Cross has elected to significantly reduce the reimbursement rate to all private practice physical therapy offices in California. We, and many other PT clinics in California are still in negotiations with them about the rate and are encouraging Anthem Blue Cross Members to join with us in disputing Anthem's drastic reduction in reimbursement. We have sample letters available for your signature and participation challenging Anthem to support quality Patient Care by continuing to reimburse the Provider appropriately for their knowledge, time and skill in Physical Therapy. If they do not renegotiate the reimbursement rate, there will be a highter out-of-pocket cost for the patient. Please click here to print out the letter. You can sign the letter on the second page and either bring it in to one of our clinics for us to mail or you can mail it yourself to address on the letter. Thank you for your diligence in making sure Anthem recognizes your right to appropriate physical therapy coverage. Please call us if you have any questions about this matter.
